"Dr Sarah and the team were very friendly & caring. They took such good care of my dog Frodo. It’s good to see they have the technology to perform echocardiograms. For me it’s almost 2 hr drive but well worth it. I felt that Frodos health plan was realistic and everything was explained. His diagnosis wasn’t good but Dr Sarah provided care that will help him whilst his quality of life is still good. I will be taking all my dogs & cats there regardless of the time in travel."

"My orange kitty had an ultrasound at his usual vet and they accidentally discovered that he had a foreign body in his stomach, unrelated to the reason he had a scan. We needed a follow up consult, xray, and possibly get an endoscopy since our vet doesn’t do this procedure. I called Austin Veterinary Diagnostic Hospital to see if they had availability that week, and surprisingly they got me in the next day for an xray *and* held a spot incase he needed the endoscope. Long story short, he needed the procedure and they completed it all within a few hours and he was home by 2pm. They took special precautions because of his mild heart murmur and took the time to explain what they’d do differently. When I picked him up, they showed me what was in his stomach (fabric and stuffing from a stuffed animal toy) and the tech walked me through a few instructions and we were on our way home pretty quick. Dr. Bougatef and the tech (I forgot her name) could not have been nicer and thorough with him, and provided clear options and costs along the way. The cost of the full day (xray, exam, and endoscope) was much more reasonable $$ than an emergency visit. Thankfully his situation wasn’t an emergency. I’m so grateful to have found a trusted vet. You hear horror stories about vets/high costs here in Austin, so of course I was anxious for a more serious procedure like this. And they truly our experience could not have been better. They were absolutely incredible. It’s about 40 mins from where we live, so not the most convenient for an anxious cat in the car, but I’ll certainly make the trip now when anything is needed. Oh, and they have a separate entrance for cats and another for dogs. The small touches matter :)"

"I cannot sing AVDH’s praises enough. AVDH staff from front desk to the sweet vet techs, and Dr.Pascoe have been nothing but outstanding. When we were facing potential cancer in our old man Labrador the facts, and treatment/surgery solutions were delivered with such kindness and grace. We explored ultrasound and MRI options for diagnostic imaging. We were so lucky that after a smooth surgery with AVDH our pup did not have cancer but a hematoma. Excellent bedside manner. The surgery site was thoughtfully stitched, and checked on post surgery. They called and checked in with us frequently. When we took him back for a separate issue Dr.Pascoe saw our dog again and made sure he was once again throughly examined. Thank you for caring for my furry baby as much as I do!"
